Located in the town of Playa de Aro (Girona), it is one of the oldest golf courses on the Costa Brava. Its privileged location is what makes it unique, since it is located within the Les Gavarres Natural Park, as well as 300m above sea level, with impressive panoramic views of the Costa Brava.

It was inaugurated in 1990 and designed by the Architect Ramón Espinosa. The course is a spectacular 18-hole, par 72 championship course. The first nine holes have a slightly undulating surface and the second nine holes on uneven terrain, which adds more technicality to the game. Along its route we find pines, cork oaks, more than a thousand olive trees and two large lakes, of 2600m, which also give a special charm to the countryside, also highlighting the native fauna of the territory.

Club Golf d'Aro has been designed for the ambitious player who loves challenges, especially low and medium handicaps, but it is also suitable for inexperienced golfers. The professional outings test the skill and refined technique of the expert golfer. And from the outings for amateurs long distances are narrowed, with the aim of favoring the game of beginners, in short, an affordable and not too aggressive course, with a soft rough, water obstacles, but with bunkers that intervene decisively in the game, and wide greens with undulations that are not excessively severe or decisive for the luck of the putt.
