SUP, or better known as Paddlesurf, is a sport of Polynesian origin (Hawaii) that originally means “to stand on top of the sea”. Hence its also known name SUP (in English Stand Up Paddle Surf). The natives of these islands used to use large boards to move from one island to the other, later the Hawaiian surfers began to use the boards as an alternative way for their training when there were no waves, and the result is that today this ancient tradition is it has become a sport with more and more followers.
The Paddlesurf (paddle means to row in English, therefore the translation could be paddle surfing), consists of staying and advancing standing on a board larger than surfboards with the help of a paddle.
Its greatest attraction is the ease of learning and accessibility for all types of people as well as the wide variety of modes of use and a very complete physical activity.
